Rare Chickens Stolen

12:02am 28th October 2012

Ten rare chickens worth over £20 each have been stolen from Lytchett Minster.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the hens, all of the Light Sussex breed, were stolen from at a house along Dorchester Road sometime between 7pm on Sunday 21st 2012 and 9am on Monday 22nd October.

The owner has had hens stolen before but nothing has happened since December last year.

Police Constable Adam Taylor, of Purbeck police, said the thefts had "all been very upsetting incidents for the victim. I'm keen to hear from anyone with any information about this incident, and also from anyone who has been offered poultry in unusual circumstances or for an unusually low price."

Anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident numbers 22:93.
