A Dorset poet who wrote an opera about human trafficking has been honoured by the European Union.
Ben Kaye from Sturminster Newton penned the words to 'Anya Seventeen', an opera about an Eastern European woman trying to break free from her human traffickers.
He was invited to the House of Lords, the House of Commons and even Downing Street in recognition of the difference he'd made.
Ben said: "An opera can be a really good platform to speak about issues and the issue in particular which I came across was trafficking which came up again and again and again. I knew nothing about it at all and soon found out that very few people knew about it so I thought it was worth highlighting."
