It's your chance to speak out over Bridport's controversial new recycling centre that's going to be built next year.

The Broomhills site off the A35 will also double up as a waste transfer station to hold house recycling and rubbish.

2 public information days are being held next week (Friday 9th and Saturday 10th November 2012) at the Town Hall where people can learn more about the proposed centre.

Director of the Dorset Waste Partnership Steve Burdis says it enables local people to view drawings and leave their comments before their final application.

In September 2011 the Dorset waste Patrnership joint committee and Dorset County Council's Cabinet unanimously approved a report recommending the Broomhills site, despite controversy and opposition from local residents.

If planning permission is approved work to build the site off the A35 will start in summer 2013 and take 2 years.

Doors open on the Friday between 10am-6pm and between 9:30am and 12:30pm on Saturday.
