3 teenage boys have been arrested after 9 motorbikes and mopeds were stolen overnight in a crime spree across Weymouth and Portland.
Up to 9 bikes have been taken, from areas including Rylands Lne, Woolacombe Road and Fortuneswell.
Some of the bikes were found ditched.
A 17-year-old boy of no fixed abode, and two Weymouth boys aged 13 and 15 have been arrested and are helping police with the investigation.
Police Inspector Les Fry, of Weymouth police, said: "I believe that all these reports are connected and it may be that the same people are responsible for these incidents.
"The loss of these vehicles has had a devastating effect on the victims, most being young, causing massive inconvenience and expense.
"It appears that at least three or four boys were acting suspiciously in the area and I am keen to speak to anyone who might have seen something.
