Thomas Hardye School Remember War Dead

fp rotate remembrance

10:15am 10th November 2012

Pupils from the Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester have bowed their heads, in memory of Dorset's fallen soldiers.

Led by Head Teacher Mike Foley and the Schools Cadet's the whole school turned out to mark Remembrance Day yesterday (Friday 9th November 2012).

This service has become very much a tradition with the school that was fortunately blessed with good weather after last year's washout.

Readings were performed by students and the names of those soldiers from Dorchester who lost their lives in two world wars were announced before the Last Post sounded for a moment of silence.

The service was completed by the CCF parading back down Queens Avenue to the playing of the Thomas Hardye Music Department Band
