A number of work vans have been broken into by thieves in Weymouth.

Expensive power tools were stolen from the vehicles all parked at different locations around town.

The robberies took place between Friday (9th November) and Monday (12th). Vehicles targeted were parked on Hammond Avenue, Radipole Lane, Southwells Avenue, Chaffes Avenue and areas around Faversham and Beaulieu.

Dorset Police are calling on members of the public to report any information they may have about the thefts, and to remain vigilant.

A number of work vans were broken into last week in Dorchester, but Weymouth detectives told Wessex FM they don't think the recent incidents are connected.
