Gas Works May Cause Delays For Drivers On The A35

11:42am 19th November 2012

Expect traffic delays in part of West Dorset for the next four weeks as new gas pipelines are laid.

They're needed to meet the increasing demand in the Charmouth and Lyme Regis area.

Southern Gas Network will be putting temporary traffic lights on the A35 with work on one carriageway at a time.

In early December the second phase will begin in the grass verge to the side of the A35 with more two-way temporary traffic lights for ten days outside of peak times.

SGN say they've been working with the Highways Agency to plan the work and will do all they can to minimise disruption.
