Awards Presentation For Dorset Adults Who Make A Difference

Reach Out Dorset

8:57am 22nd November 2012

At the recent AGM of ReachOut Dorset, young people from the organisation presented awards to adults who have made a difference in their lives.

Jo Hatch, teacher, PCSO Stuart Hann from Dorset Police, Jan Newby and The Charity of William Williams were all given certificates by young people as a thank you for the support they have given them.

The AGM also included presentations by young people and parents to celebrate the work of ReachOut; the charity that has recently been awarded funding to set up a creative therapeutic service for young people alongside their other work that supports children who run away or are finding life difficult to manage.

The celebration was also attended by BBC Children in Need who have provided financial support for young runaways in Dorset

Sarah Dummer-Wade MBE said that the evening was upbeat and positive about the future, and that staff and trustees are looking forward to celebrating their tenth anniversary next year. The charity is currently looking for sponsors, fundraisers and people that would like to help them organise events for their anniversary year. Please contact the charity via the website for more details.
