Flood Alerts Latest

A flood warning for the Lower Frome  from Dorchester to East Stoke has been lifted by the Environment Agency, but the Flood warning from East Stoke to Wareham remains in place, as do various Flood Alerts across the county.

But they're warning while water levels are starting to recede they will rise again with today's rainfall  and that flooding remains a risk for the next few days.

Update at 3pm:

A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the West Dorset Rivers and Streams. 

Flooding is possible for the Rivers Lim, Char, Simene, Brit, Asker, Mangerton and Bride this afternoon.  Low lying land and roads will be affected first. 

Update at 3:45pm:

A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the Weymouth Rivers and Streams. 

Flooding is possible for the River Wey to Radipole Lake, Preston Brook and River Jordan this afternoon.  Low lying land and roads will be affected first.
