Dorset MP Opposes Gay Marriage
4:06pm 26th November 2012
Proposals to legalise gay marriage in Britain have been opposed by South Dorset's MP.
Richard Drax has written to the Prime Minister over his concerns.
Our local MP has written an open letter to David Cameron in strong opposition to gay marriage legislation.
In his letter, Drax accuses the PM of pushing the paper through parliament to avoid a growing campaign against it and to gain popularity.
The South Dorset MP says that there is no call for marriage to be redefined.
It's understood the legislation will go before the House of Commons in a matter of weeks.
