Man Assaulted In Weymouth

An appeal's out after a random attack in Weymouth left a teenager with facial injuries.

The incident happened 2 weeks ago on Tuesday 13th November sometime around 4:10am.

The victim, an 18 year old young man from Weymouth, was punched in the face near the Subway on Abbotsbury Road, not far from Westham Bridge.

Weymouth Police are trying to trace a man seen walking nearby at the time of the attack, who they think can help with their investigation.

Police Constable Phillip Billington, of Weymouth police, said: “This was a nasty attack that appears to be unprovoked.

“I now have available four CCTV images of a man who I believe can help us with our investigation.

“I urge him to come forward and speak to us as I am keen to establish exactly what happened.

“Witnesses and anyone with any information, or anyone who recognises this man pictured should phone Dorset Police on 101 in strict confidence.”
