Man Arrested After Drugs Found at Weymouth Property

There's been a drugs bust at a house in Weymouth.

Safer Neighbourhood Officers from Weymouth and Portland swopped on the property in Geelong Close in Littlemoor at 9.30 yesterday morning. (Wednesday 28th November).

They found what's believed to be a quantity of cannabis.

A 44-year-old man at the address was arrested.

He was also detained for an un-connected firearms offence and is currently helping the Police with their enquiries.

PC Christine Gould who is the Safer Neighbourhood Officer for Littlemoor said "" Any information received by Weymouth and Portland Police in relation to the misuse of drugs is taken very seriously, and in the right circumstances we will take very positive action against anyone committing these types of offences. Drug supply and use, is one of our Section priorities at the moment and we have many tactics available to us in disrupting this issue, including Drugs Warrants."
