Did you see an accident on Dorchester bypass where the driver failed to stop?
Police say it happened last Saturday, around 6.20 in the evening near the football stadium roundabout.
A dark blue Mercedes E300 was travelling from the Monkeys Jump direction, when it was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle.
The 44-year-old female driver from Poole and her 10-year-old son were taken to Dorset County Hospital and treated for whiplash.
Police Constable Jon Ash, of Weymouth police, said: "We believe after striking the Mercedes, the offending vehicle stopped at the roundabout with its hazard lights illuminated for a short time before driving off.
"I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision or who may have information to contact me urgently.
"I would also urge the driver in question to do the right thing and speak with the police.
"All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence."
