Tank Museum Adds Afghan Heroes Artefect To Frontline Collection

Comfort Box

3:35pm 30th November 2012

Bovington Tank Museum now has a new exhibit which will be a reminder of the war in Afghanistan.

It's been given an ORIGINAL Home Comfort Box which were given to British soldiers serving in the conflict.

The container hold's 'luxuries' such as lip balm, super noodles and haribo.

The boxes were paid for by donations from the public.

Sarah Lambert from the Tank Museum said that many soldiers' have spoken of the "morale-boosting effect of receiving goody boxes from home", and added that to have one on display is a "valued addition".

You can now see the box as part of the Battlegroup Afghanistan exhibit, showing how the soldiers lived on a day-to-day basis in the war zone.
