Paper Boy Victim Of Attempted Bag Snatch

A boy from Dorchester was nearly mugged whilst on his paper round last Saturday.
The 15-year-old was pushing his bike when an unknown man allegedly first demanded his paper bag, and then tried to physically take it.
Luckily, the victim managed to grab his bag and run to safety, without injury.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information about the incident to come forward.
The incident took place Saturday the 1st of December, at 7am, near Hangman's Cottage on Glyde Path Road.
Police Constable Gillian Cregg, Dorchester police, said "The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his fifties and of slim build with a grey beard.
"He was wearing a black woollen hat, a black jacket and black leather gloves.
"The incident was extremely distressing for the victim and I am keen to identify the offender as soon as possible.
"I am appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward and ring the police on 101 in the strictest confidence."
