Road Users Warned of Icy Conditions Around South Dorset
9:20am 11th December 2012
Dorchester Police are warning people to take care on the roads after a number of ice related accidents this morning (Tuesday 11th December).
The A37 by Clay Pigeon is still very icy and a vehicle has overturned on the A352 Sherborne, top road.
Abbotsbury road is bad too.
Police say no one has been seriously hurt but are urging motorists to drive carefully as the icy conditions thaw out.
Dorchester Inspector Steve Marsh says people should only make journeys if absolutely necessary.
Gritting trucks have been out the last few nights around the County in preparation of the cold snap which forecasters have called the "Beast from the East".
You can take a look at what roads have been treated on the Council's interactive map.
