Spooky Time Raises Money For Hospice

9:31am 13th December 2012

Vital funds have been raised for Dorset charity thanks to a pair of children's Halloween parties!

Liz Emery hosted the 2 fancy dress events in the Scutt Hall, Preston on All Hallows' Eve and managed to raise £500.

160 children went along dressed as their favourite spook.

Liz has been organising these parties for six years. In previous years she used the parties to raise money for the Kingfisher Ward at Dorset County Hospital and Preston Pre School.

Liz said, "I chose to raise money for Weldmar Hospicecare this year as I have had friends who have lost their parents to cancer and someone very close to me uses the day hospice services offered by Weldmar. I love organising events and find it very rewarding being able to support local charities by donating the proceeds".
