Dorset Fire and Rescue have had a busy night after crews responded to both a stranded woman and a vehicle fire.

Crews waded in to save a woman stuck in a car surrounded by flood water on Berts Lane, Manning.

They rescued the woman using life jackets and grappling hooks before pushing the vehicle to dry land.

Meanwhile, it's unknown what caused a van on Shepherd's Croft, Portland, to catch fire.
