Daniels Fish And Chips Get Dragon's Den Backing

Daniel's Fish and Chips has won recognition from Ex Dragons Den Star Theo Paphitis.
The award winning chain of shops that started in Weymouth were chosen as a winner in the leading businessman's Twitter Competition.
Theo chooses six small businesses to highlight every week, which has cooked up more followers for Daniels on Twitter.
Daniel Pettitt said: "It was a massive surprise to be a winner this month, because we've only entered a few times. We were chosen from over a thousand different businesses, and I like to think my tweet caught Theo Paphitis' eye because my entrepreneurial story was summed up in under 140 characters."
On his website, Theo Paphitis says: "I admire people who have passion and energy. If you cannot bore your friends to death about your own small business then something is seriously wrong. I was struck by the number of business owners on Twitter who wanted to tell me about their new products and services. Small Business Sunday was born so that people have a specific time slot to tweet and can pitch their 'sell' directly to me."
Daniel started his business with little more than an ambition to succeed, coupled with an unwavering commitment to quality. In 2011, his shops were crowned Top Fish and Chip Shop Chain in the National Fish and Chip Awards, and this year he was a judge at the awards. His first restaurant, in Broadstone, opened last month and he's already acquired a second.
