Dorset County Council Welcome New Director

Dorset County Council has appointed a new Director to lead Adult and Community Services.
Catherine Driscoll is currently head of Adult Social Care at Worcestershire's County Council, where she's responsible for around 16 hundred staff and a budget of 117 million.
The 50 year old takes up the new post next year.
Catherine said: "I am passionate about public service delivering positive difference to people's quality of life and I'm very much looking forward to continuing this work in the beautiful county of Dorset."
Dorset County Council Chief Executive Debbie Ward said: "I know only too well how challenging the role of Director for Adult and Community Services is and was pleased we were able to interview a very strong field of candidates. I am delighted that we have been able to offer the post to Catherine - I am confident that she brings an excellent range of skills and experience and will lead the directorate forward in these difficult times."
Catherine is married with two sons. She has a range of varied interests including history, walking and supporting Arsenal Football Club.
