Heavy rain overnight and this morning is affecting roads around South and West Dorset.
Flood warnings from the Environment Agency's have told people in West Bay of rising water levels on the River Brit at The Riverside and George Street and to take immediate action. There have also been warnings for the River Bride from Long Bredy to Burton Bradstock, the River Wey at Weymouth, the Char at Charmouth, the Lower Frome between Dorchester and Wareham, and the South Winterborne Valley, in addition to numerous Flood Alerts across Dorset.
Amongst other places to suffer include Corfe Castle, Winterborne Abbas, Radipole village, Chickerell, Nottington and Burton Bradstock (above pic sent to our facebook page)
Dorset Fire and Rescue are asking us to observe 'Road Closed ' signs and not to drive through floodwaters. The A35 between Dorchester and Bridport was closed for a time but has now re-opened.
On the buses, Damory have cancelled all services on routes 40, 44, 210 in the Bridport area and the 212 Dorchester to Yeovil route, and the 103 service from Dorchester will only go as far as Owermoigne today, and NOT to Bovington or Lulworth.
