Wessex iPhone App

8:43am 24th December 2012

Some Weymouth and Portland charities have received a very welcome present this Christmas.

Soul Food, who feed the homeless, and the Salvation Army were among the good causes who received a cash boost.

The money comes from Mayor's Christmas Fund which is made up of donations from Weymouth and Portland's residents.

Last year the appeal raised a total of £2,650.84, and donations for this year can still be made.

Donations can be sent to:
Mayor's Christmas Fund Appeal
Council Offices
North Quay

Or dropped in at the Reception desk at the Borough's Council Offices.

Any organisations, groups and individuals that could benefit from fund support this year can also contact the above address.
