Fire crews are tackling two serious fires this morning, one which has broken out at a school.

About 60 firefighters are on the scene at a blaze at Lytchett Minster Upper School.

The fire started just after 7am in the theatre block and is thought to have been caused by a lightning strike.

Meanwhile a barn fire near Stalbridge which killed several animals is being investigated.

40 sheep and lamb were rescued from the barn on Spire Hill Farm just after 4:30 this morning - neighbouring houses suffered power failures due to the blaze.
