A volunteer who's dedicated over 20 years of her life to helping homeless and underprivileged people in Dorchester has made the Queens Honours list.
Margaret Barker founded the Dorset Poverty Action Group charity in 1989 and has been helping people on low-incomes in financial emergencies ever since.
She'll receive an MBE for her work in London.
70 year old Margaret says she's delighted to make the Queen's Honours List and the award is for her colleagues too; "Over the years we've been involved in quite a lot of work, but of course an award gets given to 1 person, so I hope all the other persons involved will accept the thanks is due to them as well."
