Renewed Cliff Danger Warning Issued By Coastguards

Coastguards in Dorset say they've caught some people digging their own path around barriers, put up to keep them off  unsafe coastal areas.

There's still a very real risk of danger from crumbling cliffs along Dorset's coastline despite the dry start to 2013.

That could get worse if we get a cold snap...as frosts would cause exisitng water behind existing landslips to expand, causing even larger chunks of rock and earth to break off.

They tell us they've also pulled a number of people out of mud when they've become stuck, looking for fossils.

They've renewed their appeal to people to respect safety notices and not to venture into areas still cordonned off.
