police tape

1:36pm 16th January 2013

Two firearms have been recovered from a property in Dorset.

A number of bank cards were also seized in the operation in Noake Road in Sherborne on Friday morning.

Police searched the property under a Misuse of Drugs Warrant.

Two men and a woman were inside at the time.

The firearms are being examined to see if they're illegal.

Sergeant Rachel Goodwin, of Sherborne Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "The execution of this warrant shows that we will take action if there is any suspicion of drugs offences being committed in Sherborne.

"Our Safer Neighbourhood officers work closely with patrol officers to keep Sherborne safe and to proactively deal with information relating to drugs offences.

"I would urge members of the public who may have concerns, suspicions or any information about the misuse of drugs to contact Dorset Police on 101 so that we can take action."

No arrests were made during the operation.
