Dorchester Man's 24-Hour Jiu Jitsu Charity Roll
8:01am 20th January 2013
We've all done crazy things for charity but one Dorchester Martial arts instructor is taking his efforts to the extreme.
Luke Mannion will do a 24 hour jiu jitsu roll on January 26th to raise money for Pilgrim Bandits.
He hopes to raise at least £800 for the charity which helps injured soldiers from special forces.
Luke will be rolling and leg-locking in 5 minute rounds with only 2 minute breaks in-between.
The former Para said he is shuddering at the thought of the major challenge he faces: "I am absolutely dreading it, I think it's going to be horrendous if I am completely honest. It's going to be horrendous.
Well-wishers and supporters can watch him take on his massive feat at the new Dorchester Martial Arts and Fitness Centre which he runs.
There will also be a raffle at the end of the 24 hour event with prizes contributed from various businesses in Dorchester including Goulds department store.
