Hundreds Object To Development Near Bridport
10:06am 22nd January 2013
Residents trying to prevent development of a site near Bridport have sent 620 letters of objection to West Dorset District Council.
Late last year the council kept the land off Happy Island Way in Bradpole out of the local plan, but the landowners can still put their plans forward to the government as an 'alternative' site.
The inspector has to judge whether West Dorset council has made sufficient housing provision in the area and will have the letters passed to them once the council's reviewed their contents.
Council senior planning office Andrew Galpin's told Wessex FM the next stage of the process won't be complete till June.
