Council Cuts Could Switch Off CCTV

8:04am 25th January 2013
(Updated 8:07am 25th January 2013)

The number of hours CCTV cameras are watching us around the highstreet could be reduced in Dorchester.

In an effort to cut spending the Town Council wants to restrict monitoring to only the busiest times of day.

Currently CCTV in public spaces is in action 24 hours a day, 7 day a week.

Councillors expect a report into the changes to be released next month.
