Tourism gives the local economy a boost of over 260 million pounds every year.
The 48 page guide is available free from local tourist information centres, it can also be downloaded here online.
Robert Gould, Leader of West Dorset District Council, said:
"West Dorset is a fantastic place for a holiday or a short break; we have some wonderful attractions, delicious local food and breathtaking scenery to enjoy.
"Following a truly memorable 2012, with images of Dorset transmitted to audiences all over the world, the district council is keen to make the most of the opportunities to encourage more visitors to come and discover the area for themselves."
