Dorset Councillors Vote in Favour of More Cutbacks to Services
1:26pm 14th February 2013
A majority of Dorset Councillors have backed proposals to cut nearly £11 million from the budget in the latest round of cuts.
County Hall was the scene of a lively debate this morning (Thursday 14th February).
Leader Angus Campbell started proceedings by outlining the proposed cost cutting measures to his fellow councillors.
The £10.9 million cutbacks will hit local services and be made over the next 2 years (2013/14).
A number of Lib Dem councillors voiced concern over the cuts.
Mr Campbell warned his colleagues the County Council needed to find a further £46million in savings over the next three years.
