A Christmas Party Gift
9:29am 21st February 2013
The staff of CG Fry and Son Ltd generously donated £265 to Weldmar Hospicecare.
The money was raised during the company’s Christmas party. Members of staff generously donated to the charity, chosen by Philip Fry, Managing Director, which was collected by his children before everybody went in to dinner.
CG Fry and Son Ltd, founded in the small Dorset village of Litton Cheney in the 1920s, has grown to be one of the areas foremost building firms and now has new developments across the whole of the southwest region though the company’s headquarters is still in the same village. The current managing director, Philip Fry, is the grandson of Charles George Fry, who built his first house in 1935. The company has its own design department, joinery shop and contracting arm, and handles projects of all sizes, from small-scale refurbishment to major housing developments.
Ruth Guilor, Sales & Marketing Manager for CG Fry & Son Ltd, presented the cheque to Jonathan Panton, Business Fundraising Manager for Weldmar Hospicecare Trust, in February 2013.
Ruth said “Weldmar Hospicecare was obviously a popular choice, as many people have friends or family that have benefited from the very valuable service they offer within our local community”.
Jonathan said “We were very pleased that CG Fry and Son Ltd employees could make this valuable donation. Company donations such as this make all the difference to us”.
