The last leg of Powerstock Primary Voluntary Aided School's rise like a phoenix from the ashes of its devastating fire nearly 18 months ago is about to begin.
While builders create a new classroom from the ruins, starting from Easter, a major fundraising event's being held at Powerstock Hut tonight (Saturday) to help equip it.
Dorset's 'Flakey Jake' will be joined by Cajun bands from London to entertain visitors.
A new classroom, built above the ruins of the old one, will be a mix of old and new, featuring a medieval arch.
It's hoped everything will be completed by October the 2nd when the Bishop of Sherborne performs the official opening ceremony.
The diocese funded some of the alterations allowing temporary classrooms to be removed once the building work's complete.
