A Portland community centre has won a national competition to get a renewable energy makeover.
The Brackenbury Centre on Portland opened as a space for arts, games and clubs on the island last year.
They've now won £7,500 from energy company Puragen to revamp their facility.
Hundreds of other community groups from all over the UK entered the competition.
Puragen MD John Scott says the money can be spent on anything for wind generation systems to solar and thermal; "What we fit will depend on the centres needs and what they want. We'll carry out a free survey this week and then move on from there.
Puragen are delighted to be able to help the people who support us here in West Dorset. It's great to be able to put something back into local community."
