Road users are complaining over the closure of the Wool level crossing.
The A352 is closed and diversions are in place while Network Rail engineers carry out improvement works on the track.
The crossing is only open to emergency vehicles, school buses and disabled users.
But some motorists say the signs aren't clear.
The official diversion route is the A352 via Warmwell Cross and Broadmayne to Dorchester, onto the A35 Puddletown Bypass to Bere Regis, and then the road to Wool via Gallow Hill and Past Monkey World.
Work is expected to be completed by Monday 11th March.
