Police Appeal After Blandford Timber Stolen

A batch of timber has been stolen from a smallholding by thieves near Blandford.

The ash trees were taken last month (between 16th and 23rd February) in Milton Abbas and are cut into 5 metre lengths.

Police Officer Richard Lill, of Blandford police, said: "The quantity of timber stolen is approximately 35 cubic metres cut into five metre lengths.

"A flatbed trailer with a hydraulic grab arm would have been required to move this amount of wood in one go.

"I would urge anyone who may have witnessed this theft take place, has seen anything suspicious in the area at the time or may have information about those responsible to call Dorset Police.

"I would also ask anyone who has been offered timber in strange circumstances or at an unusually low price to contact police".

You can contact the force on 101.
