Portland Helicopter Called Out To Angler On Weymouth Vessel
11:21am 9th March 2013
An angler has had to be airlifted to hospital this morning after becoming ill off Portland Bill. (Saturday 9 March)
He had been among a group of others on the Weymouth angling vessel 'Supernova' when he complained of pins and needles in his arms and legs just before 8am.
A spokeswoman for the Portland Coastguard Helicopter said they were called out and advised by a doctor that the symptoms could be serious and they should get the man to Dorchester Hospital.
Yesterday another sailor from a similar area was taken to the hospital by the helicopter.
