Dorset Teen Up For Outstanding Dog Award At Crufts

12:04pm 10th March 2013

A Dorset teenager who trained her dog from the age of 11 is going to be at Crufts today. (Sunday 10 March)

17-year-old Isobel Buchanan from Bridport is so dedicated to dog training and welfare that she's been nominated for the Shaun McApline Outstanding Young Person Award.

Isobel, who regularly competes in her two dog agility clubs with her pet Molly, will be at the Young Kennel Club ring at the Birmingham NEC for when the winner's announced.

The Shaun McApline Outstanding Young Person Award, in honour of a young man who died in a road accident, is the highest level of achievement for the country's young dog owners.
