Teenager Suffers "Life Threatening" Injuries in Collision with Lorry in Bridport

A teenage boy remains in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a heavy goods vehicle on the A35 in Bridport.
Full details were released by Dorset Police this morning (Tuesday 12th March).
The collision involving the 17 year old pedestrian - who's understood to be male - happened on the A35 just west of Miles Cross, at the foot of London Hill, on West Road before the 5pm yesterday.
The boy was hit by a Mercedes HGV Tractor Unit that was towing a trailer, driven by a man from Southampton.
Police say he suffered "serious life threatening injuries" and was treated at the scene by Paramedics before being taken to Dorset County Hospital.
He was later transferred to Southampton General Hospital's specialist neurological unit.
The road was closed for some time.
Investigators are now trying to piece together what happened and are calling on anyone who witnessed the accident is contact Dorset Police on 101.
