Improvements Planned For Upton Woods
2:04pm 14th March 2013
Work to improve Upton Wood for animals and wildlife is due to start this month.
Purbeck District Council and a band of countryside volunteers have put together a plan to allow the area to flourish this spring.
They're going to be cutting back trees to make way for other plants and are calling for more people to help bring the woodland back to life next weekend (23rd + 24th March).
Volunteers are advised to wear old clothes and sensible footwear and to bring their own lunch. Hot and cold drinks, gloves, tools and safety training will be provided on the day.
Everyone is welcome but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Meet at the Pony Drive entrance, off Poole Road.
