Burning Rubber Meeting At Portland Port

10:19am 23rd March 2013

A meeting over plans to BURN rubber at Portland's renewable energy power plant is being held this morning.

W4B are the company behind the controversial plans.

They're hosting a Q+A session for local residents to find out more from 10am in the Britannia Terminal at Portland Port.

WB4 Portland Ltd initially planned to use palm oil to make energy, but have found that it's now too expensive. So, they are now looking for an alternative fuel to get the plant up and running.

The South and West Dorset Green Party have criticised the controversial plans and are concerned burning rubber will create unnecessary pollution.
