Rescue Dog Needs £4,000 Life Saving Operation

Collie Dog

8:17am 26th March 2013

A dog at Dorset's oldest animal rescue centre could die without a life-saving operation.

Sally, an eight-month-old border collie, has a heart defect which will lead to heart failure if not treated.

The operation she needs will cost £4,000 and the Margaret Green Animal Rescue, who are looking after her, are struggling for funds.

Niki Ging, who is Centre Manager of the shelter where Sally is being looked after says, "Of course, like any operation, it is not without risk. However, without it, Sally will almost certainly die. We will give Sally the operation she needs in order to live the life she deserves. Please help us by donating to her appeal".

She continued to tell Wessex FM that "she's an absolute sweetheart. She was brought in here at 4 months of age, she was found straying on Dartmoor. She's friendly, she's social, she's good with the cats here, she loves people, she loves other dogs, she's just a happy little dog. She deserves a normal life. "
