7 year old's Fundraising Walk For Childrens Ward
8:43am 1st April 2013
A seven-year-old who spent time in Dorchester hospital now wants to raise money for them.
Edward van deurs Goss, from Weymouth, is doing a sponsored walk from Ringstead to Lulworth Cove.
He will be walking the route, which is approximately 5.5 miles, with his Dad. They estimate it will take them around 3 and a half hours.
Edward spoke to Wessex FM telling us that he was very excited, and that he would walk much faster than his Dad! He wanted to stress the importance of why he was walking too saying, "Because I was in hospital and the Doctors looked after me really well. I'm trying to make their (the patients) stay better."
Last year Edward spent 5 days in hospital after a severe penicillin reaction. He is specifically raising money for the children's Kingfisher Ward.
He will be walking on Sunday the 7th of April, starting at around 10am.
