Fatal Landslip Site Reopened

A coastal path that was shut off following a fatal landslip at Burton Bradstock last summer has reopened.
22 year old Charlotte Blackman from Derbyshire was killed after being crushed by 400 tonnes of rubble in the cliff collapse.
Now, 8 months on from the tragedy and the mile long path between Burton Freshwater and Hive Beach has reopened.
But the cliff edge is still off limits with a 400 metre diversion inland to remove walkers from harm's way.
The route between Cliff Road and Hive Beach is still permanently closed after a smaller landslip there last month (March).
A new report from the South West Coast Path Association shows there has been 10 times more landslips than normal over the winter.
