Council Slammed Over Redundancy Letters to Pavilion Staff
2:34pm 10th April 2013
The Council has apologised after a letter was sent out to Weymouth Pavilion staff asking them to pay for their redundancy notices.
Mail workers couldn't post the letters to staff working at the venue because the Council failed to use enough stamps on the envelope.
It led to Pavilion workers being asked to pay over a pound to collect.
Councillor Ray Banham has apologised and told Wessex FM, it was an honest mistake: "Mistakes can be made, quite easily. As soon as it was realised an apology was sent out and it was put right."
