Portland Port's been named the most improved destination by Cruise Insight Magazine.
The Port's General Manager Ian McQuade picked up the prize at a cruise conference in Miami Beach in Florida.
The award recognizes "the great improvement in the last few years; future focused port and marketing management, good geographical location and good entrance to the Jurassic Coast".
18 cruise ships carrying 20,000 passengers are expected to dock at the Port this year.
Whereas in previous years the Port was only handling a couple of small cruises a year.
The facility now also has a new passenger gangway to help guests get ashore more easily.
