Fire Engine Had Sirens On During Fatal Crash

A Dorset Head Teacher involved in a collision with a fire engine died from traumatic head injuries, an inquest's heard.

Ally Mullany was driving her car on the B3075 near Wareham when the accident happened on Sunday (14th April).

The inquest heard the fire engine had its lights and sirens on at the time of the collision. Fire-fighters were on an emergency call to another fatal crash nearby at Mordon Park Corner.

Two children who were passengers in her car suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to hospital.

Tributes have been laid at St Joseph's Catholic Combined School in Poole where the mother of 4 was head teacher.

The inquest was opened and adjourned at Bournemouth's Coroners Court.
