Thomas Hardye Students Cut their Locks in Ella's Memory
10:50am 26th April 2013
Students at Thomas Hardye have been shaving their heads in memory of a friend who tragically died in a horse riding accident.
Harry Glover and Lewis McLeod had all their hair removed in Hardye's sixth form common room yesterday (25th April) to raise money for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Their friend Ella Pallister suffered fatal injuries in a show jumping event earlier this year and it was the air ambulance that flew her to hospital.
The room was packed with students and teachers when Blondz hairdressers, from Dorchester, came up to the school at midday to help for free.

Lewis told us why it was so important to him to raise money for the Air Ambulance, "They tried to save Ella as fast as they could, they were really fast getting to her. But unfortunately, it didn't work out at the neuroscience hospital so, so we thought anything that we could do to help would be appreciated."
Harry added, "I would just like to say thanks to everyone that watched us, everyone that has donated to us, we're still taking donations online."
