Gull Proof Rubbish Bags Available In Weymouth
12:23pm 27th April 2013
Reusable black bags help residents shelter their rubbish from pesky seagulls ripping them open.
The scheme was first tested in the Park District of Weymouth in 2011.
After a successful trial it has now been extended to Weymouth Town Centre and the Underhill area on Portland.
The new rubbish sacks aim to reduce the amount of litter on the street and prevent vermin in affected areas.
If you live in Weymouth town centre or the Underhill area and have not received a bag, staff from the DWP will be at the Islanders Club on East Weare Road, Portland, between 10 and 1.
