Kite Festival Weekend In Weymouth

Weymouth hosts the 21st Beach Kite Festival this weekend.
Thousands of people are expected to attend the event across the May Bank Holiday.
They'll be trade stands along the esplanade and kite workshops for kids.
Throughout the weekend the kite festival will include everything from aerial acrobatic kite displays to beautiful single line kite displays of all sizes. There will also be kite flying experts will also show off their skills and carry out amazing static kite demonstrations.
Weymouth and Portland Borough Council Events Manager Charlotte Sheppard said: "Weymouth's annual Beach Kite Festival has developed into a great success for the town generating a real buzz and giving a welcome boost to the tourism business, from accommodation, hospitality and retail. The kite festival attracts thousands of visitors who love the kaleidoscope of kites and wonderful displays throughout the weekend providing a stunning launch to Weymouth's festival season."
Residents and visitors can also enjoy the Kite Festival Fun Fair in front of the Weymouth Pavilion during the weekend.
2013 will see a magnificent line up of kite flyers, with over 300 kite displays on show over the big weekend.
